I love the great outdoors, especially the great outdoors in the UK.  I've travelled in the Sierra Nevada in California, visited Iceland, and skied in the French Alps, but for outstanding natural beauty, there is no place like home.  As impressive as it most definitley is, gazing out into Yosemite Valley couldn't deliver the same sense of awe that I get from looking at mountain vistas in the UK. It was awesome of course, but in a different contex. I think its because I belong here in Great Britain and the relationship with the land is different somehow.  There is a bond with the mountains of my homeland, that doesn't exist elsewhere.
